EMILIO VALERIO
Navarra, Spain
Emilio Valerio is a family winery and a group of people who believe in sustainable development, fair trade and the promotion of local brands. They make wines from their own vineyards located on the slopes of Montejurra, organically grown (certified) and with the use of biodynamic techniques such as the use of plant extracts and infusions, fertilisation by herds in the area, maintenance, and protection of natural hedges. They have more than 200 years of experience in the study of the land, viticulture and production of wine. With 28 plots, mostly Garnacha (Tierra Estella - Navarra), Emilio Valerio presents a collection of white, rosé and red wines, distinguished by time spent in barrel.
The Leorin vineyard is a unique Garnacha vineyard from 1968, goblet-pruned, in organic and dry farming worked by horse. Aged for 24 months in semi-new French oak barrels of 250 and 500 litres. A wine with great aromatic complexity where all the aromas of the mountain are found. On the palate it is delicate, and at the same time with a lot of character. Garnacha.
