MARTINELLI WINES
Sonoma Valley, California, USA
Martinelli wines are born in the vineyard. And, with 450 acres of 100% sustainably-farmed estate vineyards, we can afford to be selective. Our small-production vineyard designated wines showcase our family’s favourite blocks, capturing the terroir of each site while highlighting the nuance of the vintage. The Martinelli Family has been growing grapes and making wine in the Russian River Valley since the late 1880s.
The Martinelli family is proud to be one of the last bastions of family winegrowing in Sonoma County. Spanning across five generations and more than 135 years, they've farmed the Martinelli estate vineyards with a relentless pursuit of quality and total dedication to their craft. These ideals are shared across the team – from the vineyard to the cellar to the tasting room – and are instilled in everything they do.
Immediately upon pouring your nose is engulfed with aromas of dried cherries, stone fruit, black tea, and fresh picked raspberries. The palate is mouthcoating in an intriguing way from the layers of tannins. Flavors of ripe apricot, black cherry, and sweet cream are found on the palate. A hint of white pepper is present along with white peach in the lingering finish. RP 97
